Standing orthosis

The stander is an orthosis that supports the user in a vertical position composed of a posterior or anterior shell made of thermoformed plastic. It is recommended for users with severe static trunk control deficiency caused by a neurological, muscular or genetic condition.

This orthosis allows the user to feel comfortable in a vertical posture, while preserving a correct orthopedic position (head, spine, hips, knees, ankles, feet).

The various vital functions (respiratory, digestive, circulatory) are maintained and the user may find it easier to contribute to or enjoy social and family situations.

The stander is customized and fitted to every user through the use of a number of add-ons, such as:

  • fixed or adjustable headrest
  • wheelbase with or without a system for gradually raising the user to a vertical posture
  • tray
  • upper body harness and abdominal straps
  • foot shells
